Mrs Rachel Thomas is our dedicated ALNCO from Monday to Friday, every morning.

Sometimes children need a little extra help with their learning. Here at HVCS, our teachers monitor progress carefully and identify any difficulties as early as possible, providing extra support when needed.

We have a positive and inclusive ‘whole’ school approach to the education and development of all children. Our aim is to enhance their self-esteem and increase their self-confidence, helping each child achieve their full potential.

Children may be given an Individual Target by their Class Teacher and take part in individual/small group work. We also offer booster sessions, including Reading Eggs Programme, Dynamo Maths and Nessy. Nurture sessions and groups are used to support pupil wellbeing across the school.

Please note: Parents are consulted at every stage and we follow Local Authority advice when appropriate.
