Mrs Rachel Thomas is our dedicated ALNCO from Monday to Wednesday (Y2 teacher Thursday/Friday).
Sometimes children need a little extra help with their learning. Here at HVCS, our teachers monitor progress carefully and identify any difficulties as early as possible, providing extra support when needed.
We have a positive and inclusive ‘whole’ school approach to the education and development of all children. Our aim is to enhance their self-esteem and increase their self-confidence, helping each child achieve their full potential.
Children may be given an Individual Target by their Class Teacher and take part in individual/small group work. We also offer booster sessions, including Headsprouts Reading Programme, Catch-up, Dynamo Maths and Nessy. Nurture sessions and groups are used to support pupil wellbeing across the school.
Please note: Parents are consulted at every stage and we follow Local Authority advice when appropriate.
