Our School Values are...
Every half term we focus on a different Christian Value, ensuring that they are being understood and followed in our everyday life during lessons and collective worship. In our weekly newsletter, we highlight these values and ask parents/carers to try and help reinforce each value at home too.
We also have a Values Tree in school where we display examples of children following the Christian Values.
Our Values Committee
Each year children are given the opportunity to be on our Values Committee. We meet once a month and discuss our School Values, thinking of ways to ensure that all children remember the importance of Core Christian Values.
Part of our role is to meet with teachers, governors and clergy, as well as the Bishop’s visitor to relay what we are doing in school and how we are communicating our Christian Values.
This half term (1st half of Spring Term) we have been very busy. We met with The Bishop’s visitor Mrs Yeardly and took her on a tour of our newly created Faith and Spiritual Garden. Funded with help from the local diocese, our Year 3s have been working really hard on it.
We also met with Reverends Andrea and Alan and talked in depth about Justice, our Value for this half term. She explained where Justice features in the Bible and how we can help look after children less fortunate than ourselves by supporting Fair Trade.
When we’re back in school, we hope to present our competition to the whole school and encourage everyone to design a sign for the entrance to our Faith and Spiritual Garden.
Please also see 'Church and Community/'Our Christian Values' page for our half termly listings.
Below are some home-school documents to help explain these values in more detail to your child.
