Christian Values

Our School Values

* Generosity * Thankfulness * Courage * Trust * Compassion * Perseverance *

* Forgiveness * Justice * Friendship * Service * Respect * Truthfulness *

Every half term we focus on a different Christian Value, ensuring that they are being understood and followed in our everyday life during lessons and collective worship. In our weekly newsletter, we highlight these values and ask parents/carers to try and help reinforce each value at home too.

We also have a Values Tree in school where we display examples of children following the Christian Values.

Our Values Committee

Each year children are given the opportunity to be on our Values Committee. We meet once a month and discuss our School Values, thinking of ways to ensure that all children remember the importance of Core Christian Values.

Part of our role is to meet with teachers, governors and clergy, as well as the Bishop’s Visitor to relay what we are doing in school and how we are communicating our Christian Values.

Please also see Our Christian Values page for our half termly listings.

Our Faith & Spiritual Garden

Funded with help from the local diocese, we have created a Faith & Spiritual Garden where children can gather to reflect and also enjoy outdoor learning. Pictured below are some of our children enjoying the garden and a few original concepts using Minecraft.

We also held a Design-a-Sign competition, and the winner is Millie in Year 3 whose design (pictured below) will be professionally made into a sign for the garden entrance.

On Thursday 14th July 2022, we celebrated our 'Grand Opening' and invited along special guests from the local diocese and community.
