Family life can be stressful and we all need help and advice at times. There are lots of ways FISF can support you, including:

 

  • Queries about child related applications such as Tax-Free Childcare, Flying Start, Early Entitlement, the Childcare Offer for Wales and school admissions

 

  • Share socialisation opportunities including parent and toddler groups, groups for primary/high school age children, support groups for parents and families

 

  • Grant funding and what may be available for families

 

  • Parenting courses for parents and carers

 

  • Family support organisations

 

  • Signposting to relevant services for all children and young people aged up to 25

 

  • Signposting to local and national voluntary, statutory and private organisations that support children and young people

STRONGER TOGETHER FOR ADDITIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES

STAND North Wales CIC is here to help and to support the families, parents and carers of children with additional needs and disabilities in North Wales. Find out more on their website below...

FREE six-week workshop to all parents & carers who are members of STAND North Wales and live in Flintshire or Wrexham.
 
Date: Every Thursday, 5th, 12th, 19th ,26th of June 3rd, & 10th July 
Time:  12:30-2pm
Venue: Deeside Leisure Centre, Chester Road West, Queensferry, CH5 1SA
 
During the six weeks we will cover the topics of:

·       Self-worth

·       Resilience

·       The benefits of self-care

·       Dealing with your emotions

·       Assertiveness skills including setting boundaries

·       Knowing your rights (for you and your Child)

All done in a supportive, friendly and non-judgemental environment.

There will also be a wellbeing toolkit to take away at the end of the six weeks.
